8 Keys to a Maintaining a Loving Relationship

Tags

Following are some simple tools you can use to improve your love life—and who doesn’t want a better love life? If you begin to employ these in your relationship, you should soon see positive changes—and if any of these qualities are missing from your relationship now, work on adding or restoring them.
1. Care.
2. Consideration.
3. Communication.
4. Compromise.
5. Confidence.
6. Comfort.
7. Cherishing.
8. Cheerleading.
Showing your partner that you care is as simple as opening a door or cooking a meal, but you also have to verbalize it. Some people never say those three little words, and that’s hard on your mate, so find a way to let your loved one know you care. Be there a little more, and create a random act of kindness. It doesn’t take much.
Some may think of it as care on steroids: Being considerate means that you go out of your way to make your other half feel that he or she is loved. And when you go out of your way, your actions speak louder than words.
A willingness and desire for communication is paramount in any successful relationship—it is truly the
most important thing. Given that we have so many ways to communicate, there is no excuse for not talking things out with your partner. (Voices are better than texts, but take what you can get.) If you are upset about something, get it out on the table.
An ability to reach compromise is a valuable tool in your relationship. If you go in thinking you need to have everything your way, nothing will please you—life just isn’t like that. By working toward a compromise, you keep tempers from rising, and while you may not get everything you want, you’ll get what you need. And that’s the way it should be.
We need to know that our relationship is safe and that our partner loves us; this is in our DNA. Without a sense of belonging, you cannot grow and prosper and your desires will always be elusive. Threatening your relationship when you have an argument is unfair. Instead, show confidence in what you have, and understand that you can disagree without being disagreeable.
It is easier than you think to make your partner feel uncomfortable, and sometimes we do it unknowingly. If you’re a little upset, and you carry that around with you, it will come out in your tone, attitude, and actions, and make your loved one uncomfortable. Stop punishing each other, and express your
love instead. Do all that you can to give each other a comfortable life. Time is too precious to waste feeling bad because your other half is mad at you.
Feeling cherished —that you are the most important person in your mate’s life—will keep the two of you close because you are valued and validated by each other. Knowing that your partner thinks the world of you can give you tremendous strength.
Having a cheerleader by your side when you feel down can help you deal with any problem and get back on your feet. Life is easier when your partner lifts you up and tells you that you can reach your
goals; you are much more likely to have a better relationship, because you feel you deserve it.

why Argentina will not face Israel in Jerusalem friendly - match cancelled after protests

Lionel Messi will not be leading Argentina onto the pitch for a World Cup warm-up against Israel after the game was called off following protests by pro-Palestinian groups.
A source at Argentina’s football federation confirmed the cancellation of the international friendly scheduled to be played on Saturday at Teddy Kollek Stadium
The head of the Palestinian football association, Jibril Rajoub, had urged Argentina to cancel the match and had called on Arab football fans to burn posters of Argentina captain Lionel Messi if he participated.

Although the stadium that was slated to host the match is in west Jerusalem, Mr Rajoub had complained that it is in a neighbourhood built on the site of a former Palestinian village destroyed during the war surrounding Israel’s creation in 1948.
He has long urged Fifa to expel Israel from the international football federation, citing Israeli travel restrictions on Palestinian players and because Israel maintains teams in West Bank settlements.
The cancellation came hours after pro-Palestinian activists staged a demonstration in front of the sports complex in Barcelona where Argentina are preparing ahead of the World Cup.
Some waved the blue and white striped kit of Argentina’s national team stained with red paint resembling blood.
“In the end, they’ve done right thing, and this is behind us,” Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain told ESPN. “Health and common sense come first. We felt that it wasn’t right to go.”

Argentina open their Group D campaign in Russia against Iceland on June 16. They then play Croatia on June 21 and Nigeria on June 26.
It is unclear whether Argentina will play another warm-up, or arrive in Moscow ahead of schedule.
There was no immediate reaction on the cancellation from Israel, but Israeli news site Ynet reported that prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had called Argentine President Mauricio Macri and urged him to intervene.
The cancellation was seen as a victory for the global Palestinian anti-Israel campaign. The grassroots movement advocates boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel in what supporters say is a way to promote Palestinian rights through non-violent means.
But Israel says the campaign goes beyond Israeli occupation of lands claimed by the Palestinians and masks a deeper aim of delegitimising or even destroying the country. It has formed a government ministry whose primary mission is to combat the boycott movement.
The movement said the Argentinian team had responded to “creative campaigning” denouncing what it called Israel’s “sports-washing of its crimes against Palestinians”.
Israel captured east Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war and later annexed the area in a move not recognised by the international community. The Palestinians claim east Jerusalem as the capital of a future state.
The Palestinians have also been outraged by President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and his decision to move the US Embassy to the city.
The Argentine decision may also have been influenced by deadly violence along the Israeli-Gaza border.
More than 115 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 3,700 wounded during near-weekly protests along the Israeli border, according to Palestinian health officials. The vast majority have been unarmed.

Preperations for World Cup 2018 continued with a trio of friendlies on Wednesday.
Mohamed Salah-less Egypt were put to the sword by Belgium, Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Marouane Fellaini getting the goals at Heysel Stadium for a 3-0 victory.
Panama dominated possession in Norway, but Bournemouth forward Joshua King earned a 1-0 victory in just the fourth minute for the hosts at Ullevaal Stadion.
The early match saw another 1-0 defeat for World Cup entrants against non-qualifiers. Amid the pouring rain of Austria’s Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion, Nigeria were felled by Czech Republic and Chelsea-owned centre-back Tomas Kalas’ solitary effort.

Michael Avenatti: ‘Explosive’ new text messages reveal the desperation of Trump’s lawyer

Adult film star Stormy Daniels is suing her former lawyer, Keith M. Davidson, for violating attorney-client privileges, reported the New York Times.
The suit, filed in California State Court claims that Davidson worked with Micahel Cohen, President Donald Trump’s lawyer in an attempt to squash Daniels’ case. A report shows that text messages were sent between the two parties.
Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti said that Cohen’s acts were “desperate.”
In an interview with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, Avenatti said: “If you look at these text messages, especially the exchange relating to Sean Hannity’s show, you [will] see an absolute desperation on Michael Cohen’s part to try to get my client go with Sean Hannity on the 17th of January.”
He continued: If anybody believes that Michael Cohen is putting or attempting to put my client on Sean Hannity without the president’s knowledge, I have a bridge or perhaps other things to sell them because that just didn’t happen. If anybody thinks that Michael Cohen is meeting with the first lady to talk about stormy Daniels without the president’s knowledge, same answer. I have a bridge to sell them. This is clear — it is clear from the text messages that the prior denials by Michael Cohen and the president and what the American people have been told is a bunch of nonsense.
